Presidents' Permanence at Mt. Rushmore

Carved into the granite of Mount Rushmore National Memorial are the visages of four U.S. presidents: George Washington to the left, Thomas Jefferson in the middle, Theodore Roosevelt slightly behind him rightward, and Abraham Lincoln farthest back also towards the right. These colossal sculptures stand tall against an expansive blue sky dotted with wispy clouds, framed by the verdant greenery of pine trees that gently sway around this iconic American landmark.
