This Baroque masterpiece was built between 1732 to 1747 by architect Robert de Cotte for Bishop Rohan. Its symmetrical façade is adorned with statues while its roofline features dormer windows that overlook the riverbanks. A European flag waves proudly atop this historical edifice which now serves as the regional parliament building (Assemblée nationale européenne) and houses several museums including the Musée des Beaux-Arts et d'Archéologie. In front lies an ornate bridge railing decorated with hanging flower baskets bursting with red, yellow flowers against a backdrop of clear blue skies and scattered clouds.
